The South Pacific Present Around the World Regional Final was held on Friday 18th April at Rydges on Swanston. Here are some photos from the event. Congratulations to all of the finalists!

What is the SP-PAW?

Designing the latest gadgets and widgets is one thing; convincing people of their successful operation and commercial merit is another. The SP-PAW is a way for final year students enrolled in Engineering and Technology courses* to test their skills in this area - in front of both peers and industry professionals. National and international travel await the next wave of entrepreneurs as well as some cold hard cash!

* Eligible degrees include; Electrical, Electronics, Software, Manufacturing, Mechatronics and Communications Engineering as well as Computer Science and IT.

Prizes

State winner - $400
+ direct entry to regional final (Australia + New Zealand)

Regional winner - $1500
+ direct entry to international final

International winner - $2500

5 minutes of questions

The IET SP-PAW is primarily a presentation skills competition, reflected with the majority of marks in the criteria. However, the topic should be relevant to IET endeavours and the speaker should target the presentation appropriately.
